RQVM – Leather Urns from Stockholm
RQVM was born in Vasastan, Stockholm, from the idea that an urn can be both deeply personal and a beautiful object to live with.
Every RQVM urn is handcrafted in our Stockholm atelier from vegetable-tanned leather, a material chosen for the way it feels, ages and develops character over time.
Available in four sizes, each urn is made with the same attention to material, form and finish. Every piece carries the RQVM stamp, with the option to add a name, date, initials or personal message.
Made for people and pets. To keep close at home, or wherever feels right.
RQVM, pronounced requiem. From the Latin for rest.
The Making of RQVM
From Swedish leather to the final stitch, every RQVM urn is shaped by material, craft and attention to detail.
The Leather
Tärnsjö Garveri. Since 1873.
Our leather comes from Tärnsjö Garveri in central Sweden, where hides are vegetable-tanned using oak and mimosa bark, then nourished with tallow and beeswax.
No chrome. This traditional process preserves the natural character of the hide and creates a full-grain leather that softens and develops a rich patina over time.
The Craft
Made one at the time.
Each RQVM urn is cut, shaped and stitched in our Stockholm atelier. A vintage corner stitch machine creates the distinctive stitching that defines each piece, while the finishing is completed by hand.

The signature corner stitching follows the form of each RQVM urn, creating a distinctive finish that celebrates the beauty of the leather.
